Pakistan's foreign ministry says its air force has hit targets in Iran's province of Sistan and Baluchistan.
Iranian state media is reporting that seven people have been killed.

Iran carried out an attack on Tuesday, which killed two children in Pakistan's Baluchistan province.
Tehran says it was targeting an armed group fighting for the rights of the Sunni minority inside Iran.

Islamabad has long alleged that separatist groups are launching attacks on Pakistan from inside Iran.

Pakistani Foreign Affairs ministry spokesperson says air strikes were carried out to defend the country's sovereignty.
