Thief, given free ice cream, branded "Utter low life" after brazenly stealing charity money box

This is the shocking moment a thief was caught on CCTV stealing a charity collection box from a shop moments after he received a free ice cream.

Staff at ice cream parlour Miele's Gelateria gave the man the benefit of the doubt when his card was declined -- and let him have his cone for free.

The man left the shop and licked the sweet treat outside.
