Icy roads expected for morning commute

It is a 9 First Warning Weather Alert Day from now through the Monday morning drive. This could be extended through noon, depending on the weather development and if ice continues to be a problem. RELATED: What does a Weather Alert Day mean? Periods of rain, sleet, snow and freezing rain will likely continue through the morning drive. Temperatures are barely above freezing but thankfully pavement temperatures are rising closer to the freezing mark. Roads are coldest north of the Ohio River. Roads that have been treated will fare better this morning. Specifically, watch out on your driveway and sidewalk as we are getting many reports of a total sheet of ice.
