"TYSON/TYO" HELD WITH FIREARM & AMMUNITION IN PORT-OF-SPAIN

A Port-of-Spain Community Leader is expected to appear before a Port-of-Spain Magistrate on Monday after he was held with a loaded firearm on Saturday night.

Due to the recent upsurge in Gang warfare and violence an intelligence led exercise was conducted in the Port-of-Spain Division.

This exercise was held by officers attached to the Port-of-Spain Divisional Task Force between 3pm & 12 midnight.

The lawmen around 9pm whilst at the St. Paul Street Plannings had cause to arrest Calvin Lee aka "Tyson" & "Tyo" of the said plannings after they held him with a loaded Glock 17 pistol affixed with a selector and containing eleven rounds of 9mm ammunition.

Lee is expected to be charged for the offences Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Ammunition.

Investigations continuing.
