Runs 2:10 | Detroit got big plays from its biggest stars in a 41-19 blitz of the Vikings before a frenzied Pontiac Silverdome crowd. The win brought Detroit to the brink of its third playoff berth in four years and knotted them atop the NFC Central standings with Minnesota and Chicago. Leading Detroit's star brigade was Barry Sanders, whose 110 yards on 17 carries brought his '94 total to 1,831, the fifth-highest seasonal tally in NFL history. Mel Gray's electrifying 98-yard kickoff return for TD gave the Lions a 10-3 advantage. The Lions would blow the game wide open with a 64-yard TD romp by Sanders and a 4-yard Dave Krieg-to-Anthony Carter scoring connection.
