Early Monday, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard bombed what it called “espionage centers and gatherings of anti-Iranian terrorist groups” in Iraq and Syria.
Three security sources told Reuters that Erbil Airport stopped air traffic after hearing explosions in the airspace of the city of Erbil, located in the Kurdistan region in northern Iraq.
The Revolutionary Guard said that the bombing came in response to recent "terrorist acts" inside Iran.
He added that he also targeted "terrorist" leaders and groups in Syria responsible for planning the Kerman attack in Iran.
