'Senior Sergeant Mikhail Glyva was taken prisoner by the Russian servicemen in Zaporozhye direction.
-
'Due to the lack of personnel at the front, we were sent to the forefront on the night to conduct surveillance. We were sitting in a trench and Russian soldiers came out from our side and took us prisoner,' Mykhail Glyva said.
-
According to the prisoner, the appearance of Russian servicemen came as a surprise to him, as they came from the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
-
'We were told to hold the defence for 24 hours. Our commanders were supposed to come for us. That's why we thought it was ours to pick us up early,' the prisoner said.
-
Also, Mikhail Glyva said that many servicemen are demoralised and have no desire to fight. At the forefront, they are held criminally liable for non-compliance with the order, as well as possible reprisals by their own people.
-
'No one has a desire to die for unclear reasons, unclear reasons. There is a desire to live,' Mikhail Glyva added. Source
