Doing sports is good for both the body and the mind of everyone, both young and old. Having a kid get interested in an athletic activity will not only keep the child fit and bright, but it can also teach it the grace of winning and losing, as well as perseverance. It can be any sport, basketball, football, martial arts, or in Charlie’s case, gymnastics. She is only five years old, but she is already doing an excellent job. You have to see her in action!

In this video, our young gymnast will walk you through some of the beginner basics for gymnastics in the comfort of her own private gym. She shows you everything from a spin the cat, front roll, star jumps and much much more.

She starts at the bars, showing how to gain momentum and try to separate yourself from the bars in order to advance to the more complicated routine of uneven bars. Landing is crucial, you have to evade any stumbles or errors in order to nail the stuck landing.

She then demonstrates how graceful she is walking tippy toes on the beam. Sure, she loses her balance a bit, but that is all part of the learning curve. Again, presentation is crucial at the end and she does it marvelously!

We really admire how erudite she is and her impeccable technique in performing these routines. If it were us, we probably would have got stuck on spin the cat and couldn’t find a way down.
