The NFL strikes for the second time to shutdown a Lions event in Detroit.

First they stepped in and stopped a local realtor from holding a Mattehw Stafford jersey swap event.

Now the NFL has stepped in once again to block another fan experience. On Thursday, Emagine Entertainment canceled its Detroit Lions- watch party on Sunday.

The theater chain planned to offer fans the opportunity to catch the game for free at one of its eight locations in the Metro Detroit area.

Emagine announced “At the request of the NFL, Emagine is prohibited from hosting its planned viewing party at our locations. We apologize to our guests.”
