Tube Magazine Repair - turning brass and tig welding

This could have been a LOT worse. There was a jam where more than one cartridge slipped into the carrier. When the lever was pulled out, one round went off below the bolt. This set off a chain reaction where 2 other cartridges went off sending a third now compressed cartridge down the tube destroying the follower and the spring then tearing the magazine cap out of the magazine tube. I hammered the torn metal back into place the best I could then welded it back together. It came out very good. Not perfect, but very good.
