Bob Woolmer was an English cricket coach, cricketer, and commentator. After playing 19 Tests and six One Day Internationals for England, he coached South Africa, Warwickshire, and Pakistan. During his coaching career with South Africa, he led the team to being the winners of the 1998 ICC Knock Out Trophy, the only ICC title the country has won to date. After Pakistan's unexpected elimination from the 2007 Cricket World Cup by Ireland, Woolmer died suddenly in Jamaica on March 18, 2007. A murder investigation into Woolmer's death was opened by the Jamaican police shortly after. In November 2007, a jury in Jamaica reached an open verdict on Woolmer's death.
