People on US soil aren’t the only ones who get to experience storm weather on this planet. Citizens of Great Britain and Ireland experienced them too, first last year after Hurricane Harvey and now with Cyclone Eleanor.

It was an extratropical cyclone and European windstorm that hit the UK, Ireland, France, Benelux, Germany, Austria and Switzerland during the very first days of 2018. Naturally, it caused significant damage to properties and traffic disruptions.

The seas around the UK were considerably disturbed as well, causing an incredibly massive buildup of sea foam along the shoreline. To better understand the phenomenon, it is good to know that seafoam is caused when there is a significant agitation of sea water, especially when there are higher concentrations of dissolved organic matter, like proteins and lipids, which act as foaming agents.

Anyone who has ever come across this occurrence know how sticky and unsightly it can be, but that didn’t stop this adventurous fella from taking a few excited jumps through it. In this cute video, a pup can be seen enjoying the foamy waves that Storm Eleanor left behind on a beach in County Donegal in Ireland.

The pupper might need a thorough bath afterwards, and several of them. But one can’t help but wonder - if a pupper can be so carefree in a foamy beach, why can’t we? We’ve got no fur to slow us down. If only this didn’t happen in January...
