Good faith cannot be assumed when considering the Biden Administration’s inaction. Given that the US has been underwriting Ukraine’s war, it’s inconceivable that had Biden demanded Gonzo’s release, Zelensky would have refused. Biden knew this, and did nothing. Zelensky knew this, and therefore did nothing.

It’s men and women like Gonzalo Lira who give the entire profession of journalism its nobility that dumb, lazy and gutless hacks then soil with their mediocre activist propaganda. RIP.
