Joe Rogan on the NYC Synagogue tunnels
I wondered why the heck the police came with cement trucks. Here are the deets:
Apparently the city's building safety discovered tunnels 60 feet long and 8 feet wide. They said that it was causing instability on nearby structures, so the city gave a citation to the owners and put in an order to vacate so they could stabilize the area. Folks in the Synagogue refused to vacate.
That doesn't explain why the tunnels were there in the first place. Some are claiming they put them in there during Covid in order to be able to worship secretly during lock downs.
