Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 273 (Arabic Recitation): “ لِلۡفُقَرَآءِ ٱلَّذِينَ أُحۡصِرُواْ فِي سَبِيلِ ٱللَّهِ لَا يَسۡتَطِيعُونَ ضَرۡبٗا فِي ٱلۡأَرۡضِ يَحۡسَبُهُمُ ٱلۡجَاهِلُ أَغۡنِيَآءَ مِنَ ٱلتَّعَفُّفِ تَعۡرِفُهُم بِسِيمَٰهُمۡ لَا يَسۡـَٔلُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ إِلۡحَافٗاۗ وَمَا تُنفِقُواْ مِنۡ خَيۡرٖ فَإِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِهِۦ عَلِيمٌ ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 273 (English Translation): “ [Charity is] for the poor who have been restricted for the cause of Allāh, unable to move about in the land. An ignorant [person] would think them self-sufficient because of their restraint, but you will know them by their [characteristic] sign. They do not ask people persistently [or at all]. And whatever you spend of good - indeed, Allāh is Knowing of it. ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 273 (Urdu Translation): “ صدقات کے مستحق صرف وه غربا ہیں جو اللہ کی راه میں روک دیئے گئے، جو ملک میں چل پھر نہیں سکتے نادان لوگ ان کی بے سوالی کی وجہ سے انہیں مالدار خیال کرتے ہیں، آپ ان کے چہرے دیکھ کر قیافہ سے انہیں پہچان لیں گے وه لوگوں سے چمٹ کر سوال نہیں کرتے، تم جو کچھ مال خرچ کرو تو اللہ تعالیٰ اس کا جاننے واﻻ ہے۔ ”
