Raymond Theodore Robinson became a local legend in western Pennsylvania due to his unique life story. At just eight years old, he suffered a severe electrical injury while attempting to retrieve a bird's nest on the Morado Bridge near Beaver Falls. Against the odds, Robinson survived the accident but endured significant disfigurement, losing his eyes, nose, and right arm. His appearance was so startling that he avoided public outings to prevent causing panic. Instead, Robinson took to long nighttime walks.

These walks turned him into a mysterious figure, with locals referring to him as the Green Man or Charlie No-Face. Tourists drove along his route, hoping to catch a glimpse of this legendary figure, but were often disappointed as Robinson maintained a low profile.

Despite the tales passed down through generations, Robinson was a real person, cherished by his family and neighbors. As he aged, he eventually ceased his nocturnal strolls and retired to the Beaver County Geriatric Center. Raymond Theodore Robinson passed away in 1985 at the age of 74.
