INTERVIEW: Dr. Tim Stratton of Free Thinking Ministries - Part 2/3

Adam Lloyd Johnson continues his interview with Dr. Tim Stratton of Free Thinking Ministries. In this part, Adam and Tim discuss the FreeThinking Argument, which argues that human beings have what is called "libertarian free will." Tim uses this argument to respond to two types of people who claim human beings don't have free will: 1) atheists who are naturalists and thus believe nature determines our thoughts and actions and 2) Christians who affirm a form of divine determinism, meaning that God determines our thoughts and actions. It all boils down to epistemic responsibility: are we the cause of (and thus responsible for) the thoughts that we think? In other words, are we doing our own thinking or is something or someone else determining our thoughts for us?
