Homeless in a Cashless Society

Major changes are coming to the global economic system. From what I hear, soon enough, they’ll be doing away with cash…and that means “change,” too. It’s likely to be a bumpy ride for those of us with a roof over our heads and three square meals. But lately, I’ve been wondering how the homeless might fare without a way to receive love gifts at their favorite intersections.
A good friend of mine named Jerry has also been thinking a lot about that. He and a homeless brother named John Jock started a ministry called “Love Matters” to treat the homeless in the Hickory, North Carolina area to free dinners, twice a week, at popular restaurants. In fact, this week was John Jock’s birthday, so to celebrate, Jerry staged a special event for his homeless friends.

But the good times kept rolling at a local Mexican restaurant. Birthday Boy John Jock got to wear the celebratory sombrero.

John Jock’s friends Angi and Abel joined him and Jerry to mark the milestone with some Mexican-style merry-making. Do you see the joy on their faces? The joy you can’t see is the smile on Jerry’s beaming face. He got to pay for the event, so he knows firsthand the truth of Jesus’ words. “It’s more blessed to give than to receive.”
There’s a joy that comes from giving that no globalist “cashless society” schemes can take away. In fact, you can fight back and become part of history by test-marketing a digital gifting system that can help the homeless keep going long after cash is gone.
