Gates of Hell - Has it been found?

Matthew 16:18 mentions the gates of hell and how the faith of Peter is the rock upon which Yeshua, The Christ would build his community of followers.

What if the "Gates of Hell" is a figure of speech that is not about physical gates but a person whose life's work is to kill in humans,, the faith in Yeshua, The Christ?
The Department of Defense briefing for what was labeled the "Fun Vax", may be a clue. Its purpose was to damage the portion of the human brain where faith is housed so humans do not participate in religions of faith.
