On November 17,2017 it was not going to be a very fun day for Amanda, the manager of The Winey Cow Cafe in Mornington . Mornington is a seaside town on the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria, Australia, located 35 miles south of Melbourne's central business district. Mornington is known for its "village" atmosphere and its beautiful beaches and is a popular tourist destination with Melburnians who often make day trips to visit the area's bay beaches and wineries. Although usually a very pleasant and beautiful town, this day in November was setup for a change. With the summer heat, yes summer in November in Australia, and the high humidity causing severe thunderstorms causing heavy rainfall which lead to flash flooding and large hailstones. This definately happened and as you can see, Amanda had to deal with the results. Her restaurant was being pelted with large hailstones and the rain came in "buckets" . Being slightly out of the norm, their gutters became clogged with hailstones and were unable to carry away the huge amounts of water . The result as you will see was a mess, and Amanda did not plan on getting this much help to wash the floors. Being the great manager Amanda is ,she took care of her customers as best as possible and also called in the appropriate repairmen to fix the issues. Now next time Mornington endures a mass storm as this one, The Winey Cow Cafe is ready for the attack. Amanda made some great calls that day on how to handle the storm. Good job Amanda, your boss's should be proud.
