"Learn from Bill Gertz, the leading national security journalist in the United States, and the author of "The China Threat". Mr Gertz discusses how the Pentagon decided China is no threat entirely from China's public statements. Elements of the threat include the Communist dictatorship and ideology which is responsible for 30-60 million deaths, religious genocide. China today is becoming more, not less repressive in spite of increased trade. Demands for democracy were never made in exchange for unlimited trade. China can be a greater national security threat than the Soviet Union due to their economic power. He describes how lack of American leadership invites attack, such as with April Glasspie's statement to Saddam Hussein regarding Kuwait; how the threat to Taiwan has increased due to American ambiguity. Watch and learn much more, including what America's response should be if China invades Taiwan.

This is a classic edition of Conservative Roundtable from 2000, the nationally broadcast weekly conservative television program hosted by Howard Phillips, and a production of The Conservative Caucus.
