In 2020, OSIRIS-REx touched Bennu, used gas to stir up dust and rocks, and then grabbed some of this material. In May 2021, it started its journey back to Earth.
The capsule with the samples was released from the spacecraft and landed safely in Utah. Dante Lauretta, who's leading the mission, was happy to see it land safely, like meeting an old friend.
The capsule, with about 8.8 ounces of asteroid stuff, was taken to a clean room and will be sent to NASA's Johnson Space Center for more study.
Meanwhile, the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft isn't done yet. It's now going to another asteroid named Apophis.
