The House Homeland Security Committee held its first formal hearing that could result in the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for his handling on border security. Lawmakers heard from three Republican attorneys general from the states of Montana, Missouri and Oklahoma. All testified saying the lack enforcement at the U.S. southern border has negatively impacted their states. Democrats invited one witness to testify, law professor Frank Bowman. He said what Republicans are accusing the secretary of doesn’t rise to the level of impeachment.
