The Gun Violence Archive is becoming one of the most trusted sources for gun violence statistics by left-leaning politicians. This is because they categorize mass shootings different than any other group, which drastically inflates the numbers.

This inflation is the very reason for the organization's rise to prominence as it gives talking points and shockingly large numbers for Democrat politicians to shout when trying to legislate away Second Amendment rights.
