Supermarket uses robocop cameras in aisles to deter thefts

Morrisons has deployed ‘robocop’ cameras in supermarket aisles to deter customers from stealing high-value alcohol.

Branded Safer Pod S1s have been strategically placed next to alcoholic beverages to combat the rising issue of shoplifting across Britain.

These stationary safety devices, resembling four-legged robots, feature HD cameras and an advanced 120db siren system to alert against potential thieves.

Powered by a solar panel battery, these devices are mobile and can be relocated to address specific problem areas within the store.

They are operated by a control room through a dedicated app, the U.S. Sun reported.
