Shark rescued from fishing net 'death trap' just in time
A park employee with a machete acted quickly to free a shark caught in fishing nets in Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park in the Philippines. Footage recorded by a park employee shows Segundo F Conales Jr freeing the trapped animal before sending it on its way. Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Reefs at the park are home to over 360 species of coral, and almost 700 species of fish, including 11 types of sharks, according to UNESCO.
