Faith Without Works is Always Dead

The Books of James and Jude almost didn't make it into The Bible what is it about these books that had the church so frightened?

James 2:14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
Jas 2:15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
Jas 2:16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
Jas 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
Jas 2:18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Jas 2:19 Thou believe that there is one God; thou does well: the devils also believe, and tremble.
Jas 2:20 But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?

The Book of James was almost deleted from the Bible because of this very passage; Council of Hippo 393AD, Reaffirmed Council of Carthage 397AD

This passage supposedly contradicted Paul?

Eph 2:8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
Eph 2:9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

Jas 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

Knowledge leads to action, if you don't believe it you will not act on it. Gravity?

Jas 1:25 But whoso looks into the perfect law of liberty, and continues therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Belief leads to a quest for more knowledge, Why I'm a tin foil hat Christian?

Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

Helping others, giving, and Maintaining fellowship with God is real/pure faith.
