Did a COMET cause the Great Chicago Fire? (Seriously...a comet)

October 8, 1871, was one of the craziest nights in the history of the world. Most have heard of the Great Chicago Fire, but there were also a series of other absolutely massive fires that occurred that night, hundreds of miles away, at the exact same time as the Great Chicago Fire. The Great Peshtigo Fire in Wisconsin and The Great Michigan Fire each burnt over a million acres of land at the same time the Great Chicago Fire was happening.

Some believe a comet crashed to Earth that night and caused this unprecedented outbreak of fires.
