Our guest for Episode #39 is Commander Patrick Grady. While a student at the University of Texas, Commander Patrick Grady enlisted in the United States Marine Corps Reserve, Infantry, in 1984. Graduating from UT in 1985, he "jumped ship" to the U.S. Navy Aviation Officer Candidate School, earning his commission as an Ensign in August 1986 and his wings, as an unrestricted Naval Aviator, in January 1988. Commander Grady, "Patio", flew the SH-60B Seahawk from cruisers, destroyers, and frigates deploying to myriad locations in the Pacific Rim and Middle East. Commander Grady attended the Naval War College and Joint Forces Staff College in the run-up to becoming expert in the field of Information Operations, specifically Operations Security. Post retirement, Commander Patrick Grady worked as a Defense Contractor in Information Operations. A few years later, Patio left defense contracting, returned to college to earn a Bachelor of Science in Construction Science Management and is currently a Construction Quality Control Project Engineer operating from San Antonio Texas.
