Deobra Redden, the individual featured in a widely circulated video, has faced a different judge in a separate courtroom, now confronting additional charges related to the incident where he leaped over a bench to attack a Las Vegas judge.

On Monday, prosecutors revised the charges against Redden, now including attempted murder on an older person. During his initial appearance on Tuesday morning, he faced over a dozen charges, five more than those initially filed last Thursday, when he refused to attend.

Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson stated last week that additional charges were planned. He mentioned, "In the next few days, my office will be reviewing all of the reports to determine what charges to bring based on Mr. Redden’s behavior in court." The comprehensive list of felony counts now includes attempted murder against an older person, battery on a protected person resulting in substantial bodily harm against an older person, extortion, intimidating a public officer with the threat of force, disregarding the safety of a person resulting in substantial bodily harm, battery by a probationer or parolee, unlawful act regarding fluid by a prisoner in confinement, and six counts of battery on a protected person.

During a sentencing hearing on Monday, Redden appeared surrounded by seven law enforcement officers, shackled, and wearing a spit guard and rubber gloves. Similar arrangements were observed on Tuesday, with his next appearance scheduled for February 14th at 9 am.
