Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 189 (Arabic Recitation): “ يَسۡـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ ٱلۡأَهِلَّةِۖ قُلۡ هِيَ مَوَٰقِيتُ لِلنَّاسِ وَٱلۡحَجِّۗ وَلَيۡسَ ٱلۡبِرُّ بِأَن تَأۡتُواْ ٱلۡبُيُوتَ مِن ظُهُورِهَا وَلَٰكِنَّ ٱلۡبِرَّ مَنِ ٱتَّقَىٰۗ وَأۡتُواْ ٱلۡبُيُوتَ مِنۡ أَبۡوَٰبِهَاۚ وَٱتَّقُواْ ٱللَّهَ لَعَلَّكُمۡ تُفۡلِحُونَ ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 189 (English Translation): “ They ask you, [O Muḥammad], about the crescent moons. Say, "They are measurements of time for the people and for ḥajj [pilgrimage]." And it is not righteousness to enter houses from the back, but righteousness is [in] one who fears Allāh. And enter houses from their doors. And fear Allāh that you may succeed. ”

Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 189 (Urdu Translation): “ لوگ آپ سے چاند کے بارے میں سوال کرتے ہیں آپ کہہ دیجیئے کہ یہ لوگوں (کی عبادت) کے وقتوں اور حج کے موسم کے لئے ہے (احرام کی حالت میں) اور گھروں کے پیچھے سے تمہارا آنا کچھ نیکی نہیں، بلکہ نیکی واﻻ وه ہے جو متقی ہو۔ اور گھروں میں تو دروازوں میں سے آیا کرو اور اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو، تاکہ تم کامیاب ہوجاؤ۔ ”
