Retrograde ejaculation is a rare phenomenon where the semen does not exit the body through the urethra upon climax. Instead, it travels in the opposite direction, going back up the bladder – and that's not a good thing. This leads to a decrease in semen production and volume, or in some cases of extreme retrograde ejaculation, a complete and total lack of semen upon orgasm. This is known as a "dry orgasm" or "dry climax". While retrograde ejaculation is usually not detrimental to your health, it can have an adverse effect on fertility unless it is reversed. Read up on everything you need to know about retrograde ejaculation (and how to treat it) on our blog.
