The Detroit Zoo's sea otter named Ollie has died after a brief illness.

Officials say the beloved otter died December 30th at the age of 13. She was rescued along the coast of California when she was two weeks old and came to the zoo in Royal Oak in 2021. The cause of the illness that claimed Ollie's life has not been determined.
