Six Michigan Players Help Team USA Win Gold At Worl Junior Hockey Championships

The United States brought home the gold in the World Junior Hockey Championship on Friday, played in Sweden.
Backed by six Michigan hockey players, four from University of Michigan and two from Michigan State, team USA went undefeated through the tournament, winning seven straight games, enroute to beating Sweden for the Gold by a score of 6 to 2.
Nine players for Team USA will be returning for next year’s tournament which will be played in Canada.
