It's not a Democracy.
Key Differences:
Rule of Law: In a constitutional republic, the rule of law is paramount. The constitution serves as the highest authority, limiting the powers of government officials and protecting individual rights. In a democracy, majority rule may sometimes overlook the protection of minority rights.
Limited Government: Constitutional republics often have a system of checks and balances to prevent the concentration of power. This limits the authority of any one branch of government and ensures a balance of power. In a democracy, the majority holds significant power, potentially leading to the concentration of power in the hands of a few.
Individual Rights: Constitutional republics prioritize the protection of individual rights, even in the face of majority decisions. Democracies, especially direct ones, may be more prone to the tyranny of the majority, potentially jeopardizing the rights of minority groups.
