It has been revealed by the BBC that over 10 million people watched Doctor Who on iPlayer over the Christmas period. The trouble is, only 1.79 million viewed Ncuti Gatwa's official first episode which was also the 2023 Christmas special "The Church on Ruby Road" on iPlayer during that festive time frame.
