Philip is then led by the Spirit to meet the Ethiopian eunuch, whom he guides in understanding Scripture, leading to the man's baptism. Meanwhile, Saul's zeal for persecution contrasts with Philip's zeal for spreading the Gospel, setting the stage for Saul's eventual transformative encounter with Christ.
