Double Indemnity (1944)

Directed by Billy Wilder, based on the novel by James M. Cain. The story follows insurance salesman Walter Neff, who becomes entangled in a dark plot with seductive housewife Phyllis Dietrichson. They conspire to murder Phyllis's husband and make it appear as an accident to collect the insurance money. However, as their plan unravels, they find themselves ensnared in a web of deception, suspicion, and betrayal.
