Washington County’s GOP discusses impacts of Biden’s 30 x 30 Initiative on Utah’s public lands

ST. GEORGE, Utah (1/12/2022) A week after President Biden was elected, he signed an executive order that vows to protect 30% of U.S. land and water, by 2030. The “America the Beautiful” plan aims to place more public land into conservation in an effort to mitigate climate change. It also promotes “green” energy and gets rid of all carbonate fuels to save the planet.
However, the American Lands Council among others plan to fight against these actions.
The Washington County Republican Party hosted a discussion featuring Utah Representative Ken Ivory of West Jordan.
The Informative gathering gave insight to where the plan could lead if fully implemented.
