Nearly half a dozen people were killed after a train in Bangladesh caught fire on January 5. The incident occurred in the Gopibag area of Bangladesh's capital, Dhaka. Bangladeshi officials said that four coaches of Benapole Express were set on fire to scare people from taking part in the election process. The ruling Awami League, led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party, led by former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, are at loggerheads over the conduct of the elections.
