Soldiers and civilians in South Korea board a ferry heading to Yeonpyeong island, where residents were ordered on Friday to evacuate to, after North Korea carried out artillery training near the Northern Limit Line (NLL). Yeonpyeong, with about 2,000 residents, is around 115 kilometres (70 miles) west of Seoul. Local officials said residents had been told to evacuate to shelters as a "preventative measure" ahead of a South Korean military drill that was prompted by North Korea's artillery barrage
