Tonopah, Nevada The Queen of all Mining Towns

Tonopah is still a mining town. Most of the residents work at nearby silver, and gold mines. The Mizpah Hotel has very large safes in the basement where they would keep silver from the Mizpah Claim. The huge safes were made of thick steel, but built on the dirt. Not a good idea in a town full of miners. A group of miners dug a tunnel to the inside of the safes, and made off with thousands of dollars in silver.
