The Amazing Mr. X (1948)

Directed by Bernard Vorhaus. The story follows Christine Faber, a grieving widow haunted by the death of her husband, Paul. Seeking solace, Christine visits a spiritualist, Alexis, who claims to communicate with the dead. Alexis, however, seems to possess unnerving knowledge about Christine's past, leading her to question his abilities. As events become increasingly mysterious and unsettling, Christine grapples with the possibility of supernatural forces at play.
