We're closely monitoring the potential impact of the approaching winter storm. Heavy rain and snow are expected, which have the potential to cause power outages that could impact your Internet, TV, and phone service. We're ready to respond to any possible service interruptions this weather could bring to the area.

As part of our standard readiness procedures, our network operations center and field teams have performed system checks, prepared generators, and staff accordingly, and continue to monitor weather conditions.

How you can prepare:

Charge cell phones, tablets, and other mobile devices.

Make sure we have the right contact information, and you're signed up to receive service-related text messages.

Set up important email accounts on your Apple or Samsung mobile devices.

What to expect:

If you don't have power, you won't have Internet, TV, or phone service until the power company restores it. As the power company assesses and clears areas, our crews follow closely behind to address any fallen lines so that Optimum service is available when power returns.

If your power is on, but you still don't have Optimum service, it could be because:
The power company has not yet restored the commercial power that feeds the Optimum signal in your local area

Your local connection could have been damaged by the weather or even inadvertently by the power company or another third party, and our crews are working to identify these issues and make repairs to bring your services back online
