4.2 magnitude earthquake shakes Southern California

Southern California experienced a 4.2 magnitude earthquake on Friday morning, as reported by the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake originated less than a mile from Lytle Creek, a thinly populated community situated approximately 16 miles north of downtown San Bernardino.

The seismic activity commenced shortly before 11 a.m., according to the Geological Survey.

The Los Angeles Fire Department, in a post on X, confirmed that there were no reports of injuries or damage to structures or infrastructure within the city, located about 60 miles west of the earthquake’s epicenter.
