Art Deco Passenger Trains | The Golden Age of Railroads
The 1920's and 30's are considered by many to be the Golden Age of railroads in America. From Art Deco streamliners to the incredible travel times, it was truly the last hurrah for the railroads. The GG1, F-7, Hudson's, and Streamliners were particular icons of this era. Going into the late 50's, plane and car travel had become the preferred travel method, and luxury passenger trains faded away into history.
