Non-viable businesses were "sustained" during Covid, Irish Finance Minister says

A new report has shown that Irish business insolvencies in 2023 were at their highest level in 5 years. When asked about this, Finance Minister Michael McGrath said that "some businesses which may not have been viable were sustained" during the Covid lockdown by government supports.
