On December 26, 2023, at approximately 1209 hours, Warren Police officers conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration. Officers contacted the driver and asked for his driver’s license. The drive failed to provide a driver license and fled, at which point a vehicle pursuit ensued.

After a short pursuit, the driver ran a red light and collided into a box truck. The driver was fatally injured and was pronounced deceased at scene. A stolen gun was located inside the vehicle. It was later determined that the driver had an outstanding warrant.
