Dunkin’ faces a negligence lawsuit from a customer, Paul Kerouac, who alleges that he suffered injuries due to an exploding toilet at one of the chain’s central Florida locations.

The lawsuit, seeking over $100,000 in damages, was filed on Wednesday in state court in Orlando, citing “severe and long-term injuries” sustained by Kerouac during the toilet explosion at a Dunkin’ establishment in Winter Park, Florida, approximately a year ago.

Following the incident, which left Kerouac covered in human waste, urine, and debris, he exited the men’s room and sought assistance from the store’s workers and manager, according to the lawsuit.

Allegedly, an employee acknowledged being aware of the “problem with the toilet,” citing previous incidents without specifying the nature of the explosion, NBC News reported.
