Brown Eyed Girl (Demo)

According to what I've read, way back in 1966, at Mississippi State, there was a sophomore named James Delaney Buffett. He went to a house party one night, & there was a guy in a corner of the front room, strumming a guitar. He was surrounded by girls. Young Jimmy thought to himself, 'If I could learn to play guitar, I could get a lot of girls, too.'
A few songs later, the guitar player took a break & when the girls wandered off, young Mr. Buffett went over and introduced himself. He asked the guy if he could teach him how to play. The guy showed Jimmy the three basic cords, he needed to play almost anything. The next week, Jimmy bought himself a guitar, and the rest, as they say, is history.
The guy who taught him those three chords was none other than Mississippi State Junior, George Ivan Morrison, better known as "Van".
Here's the demo of his best known hit, "Brown Eyed Girl", which the late Jimmy Buffett did a cover of in 1983, as a tribute to the man who taught him those three chords.
